The matches between KKR and PBKS have always been played under a lot of pressure. On the second day of the tournament Punjab scored 210 runs against Chennai in 18.4 overs to win by successfully chasing down 210 thanks to 50 runs from Shreyas Iyer, 43 runs by Prabhsimran Singh and 39 runs from Priyansh Arya.

These comments from Ponting are strong because Punjab has won both of their opening matches in Chase-style fashion after having chased two separate scores; there are two very different ways for teams to win games: one is from being a little bit lucky and then losing but winning at the end because the score is so substantial that it cannot be overcome, and second is for a team to chase down a score; score multiple runs throughout the game and never having a single player be relied on as the sole source of runs to win.
